18 FebRevelations of Love (Part 1)

God’s love for us is everlasting and unconditional.  His love is so great–and is so unlike human love often characterized by emotions and conditions.  Revelation of Love is a poem I wrote years ago, but it remains a testament to the life-giving love that we find in Christ.  And it’s the first of two revelations of God’s love that I want to extend to you.

Take it into your heart and rest in the knowledge that your Heavenly Father is eternally committed to you.  And, yes, He truly does LOVE YOU!

Revelation of Love

Beloved, beloved, Oh dear beloved—

that’s the precious name given to all

who’ve staked their claim in Jesus Christ,

the true Lover of our souls.

You ask, “How can I be sure of this love,

proclaimed the world throughout?” I

answer it comes with a simple trust and

REMEMBERING…

To remember His nail scarred hand; to

remember thorns piercing His brow; to

remember a sword severing His side; to

remember feet bound to a cross.

Oh, beloved, those memories indeed won’t

allow you to doubt the Love of Christ.  For

those memories are your heritage of proof

that His love for you knows no bounds.

For what greater love hath a man than this,

that He lay down His life for His friends?

There is no greater love, no greater love to

be found, so settle in to this love so profound.

Only a love from above, from on high, could

pave a trail through sin to you and I.

We have but one response in kind,

“Nothing will separate me from the love of Christ.”
