Courage
In
the day and hour that we're presently living in
there is a constant solicitation to live in fear--fear
for our lives, fear for our jobs, fear for our
children, and so on. BUT,
despite what's going on in the world around us,
God has commanded His people to be strong and
of good courage. God is calling us to courage!
And therefore, we should answer the call.
The
word 'courage' as found throughout the Scriptures
takes on different, yet equally powerful, meanings. Some of the words used when speaking of
one being courageous are: to strengthen, prevail,
harden, to press, make bold, be resolute, to grow
firm. As you can see, this word carries with it
a great and significant meaning.
In every situation
you face in life, you will be presented with a
choice of action: one of faith or one of fear.
In this study, prepare yourself by laying
hold to keys in God's Word that will allow courage
to reign in your life and close the door to fear
forever.
