Praise

The force of praise is one that will lift you to the highest heights, see you through the darkest of times, and ultimately cause you to rest in the very Presence of God. Therefore, as believers in the Lord Jesus Christ, let us determine to use this mighty weapon of warfare (ll Corinthians 10:4). For then we will be able to lay hold of the surpassing victories that are ours in Christ Jesus. I pray that this study will awaken the power of praise that is within you and take you to a deeper level of intimacy with our God that can only be born from a heart of a praiser.  So prayerfully search the Scriptures and answer the questions in your own words.

  1. How does God respond to the praises of His people? (Psalm 22:3)
  2. What should one's commitment to praise entail? (Psalm 145:2)
  3. How does praise cause God's people to appear in His eyes? (Psalm 33:I)
  4. What effect does praising God have on your enemies? (Psalm 8:2; 9: 2, 3)
  5. From where does true praise originate? (Psalm 9:1)
  6. What effect can praising the Lord during hard times have in one's life? (Acts 16: 22-26)
  7. What are some of the ways in which you can praise the Lord? (Psalm 150: 3-5)
  8. What has God commanded regarding praise? (Hebrews 13: 15)
  9. What has praise been designed to replace in your life? (Isaiah 61:3)
  10. How are we to come before God and enter into His Presence? (Psalm 100:4)
